Where does my money go?

When you choose to make a donation to one of HRF's projects or appeals, you can do so in the safe knowledge that the money that you pledge will be used to help many people in need across the globe.

Examples of where your money will be used are:

1. To bring clean drinking water to a village in desperate need, preventing the risk of infection and the need to walks miles and miles every day just for a basic human right.

2. To help give a family a home again after the destruction of war has left them without shelter.

3. To provide the elderly with the care and attention that they deserve. With your help, we can help get them the medication and treatment that they need.

4. To help families less fortunate than ourselves still enjoy the religious festivals such as Eid and Ramadhan

success stories

HRF have managed to help thousands of people world wide, and could not have done it without the help and support of it's donors and volunteers, so thank you. Here are some 'success stories'.

1. Last year HRF distributed 175000 Kilograms of meat to the poor and needy families throughout the world which means that approximately 1200 families benefited and enjoyed the blessings of Eid

2. Our volunteers keep on running! One of them, Mr Ali, ran the London and Edinburgh Marathons. He raised over £5,000 for the orphans in Iraq and Kashmir.

3. Over the last 3 years we've spent over £1 million in the Muzaffarabad region of Kashmir. We're continuing to support communities in this area, and we're in it for the long term.

Please donate today, and help us create more sucess stories.

Healthcare Projects

The Human Relief Foundation has responded to some of the biggest crises of recent times by providing health care, medical kits, and medication to those in need. Following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey, Pakistan, HRF supplied first aid kits for use amongst afflicted communities.

Similar provisions were made following the recent conflict in Afghanistan and Sudan. Hundreds of medical packs, including essentials such as bandages, where distributed along the Afghan/Pakistan border, Syria, Jordan and Iraq where many displaced individuals took shelter.

HRF's aims to provide care for communities over a sustained period of time. By investing in hospitals we can provide health care to future generations of communities.

In Yemen, HRF contributed significantly to the construction of a health unit in the Taiz area. In both Iraq and Palestine HRF have established long running medical programmes benefiting thousands of people.

Mobile Clinics

$40,000 has been used in the purchase of 10 mobile medical clinics for use in Gaza and the West Bank. Mobile clinics allow care for people living in areas where medical attention is rarely a luxury. By investing in strategic care projects, HRF is able to ensure that as many people as possible with benefit from your donation.

The clinics in Palestine have already been used to treat thousands of people and in the coming years they will continue to help individuals gain access to essential care and treatment. Other areas where people have benefited from mobile clinics are Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Pakistan.

Hospitals

In Iraq, HRF has played an important part in helping to keep hospitals running, through twelve years of sanctions and two wars. Currently HRF is sponsoring two hospitals in the region including the 1000 bed Al-Yarmook hospital in Baghdad and a mother and baby care unit in Mosul.

Al-Yarmook serves over 4,000,000 Baghdad residence and is a vital part of Iraq's medical infrastructure. HRF funding is paying for medication and equipment and as a result thousands of patients are benefiting.

Annually, HRF runs medical team projects in Iraq. The programme allows British doctors to volunteer their services for use in areas where medical services are stretched. HRF acts as a link between doctors and patients by organising vocational tours in strategic areas.

HRF responds to emergencies by distributing medical packs, first aid kits and medication
Ongoing investment and sponsorship of Health Care Centres, Mobile Clinics and Hospitals is a priority.

HRF's Medical Team Project allows British Doctors to volunteer their services for use amongst needy communities.
