Our Work: HRF has been operational in Pakistan since the Swat Valley earthquake in 2008. Our Pakistan office has since implemented several projects and rehabilitation programmes to support victims of the earthquake.
Our recent work in Pakistan was in response to the flood in 2010. HRF responded immediately to the needs of the victims. We provided food provisions, shelter for the displaced, and 24-hour medical camps.
In October 2010 we rehabilitated Isakhel Hospital within the Mianwali District of Punjab, which serves more than 40,000 people. Iskahel Hospital is the only hospital within a 20km radius available to victims of the flood. To this day Isakhel Hospital is still open to provide medical support to the needy community.
